Earth has long been a cultural center for many races, not just humans.
The Altok now call Earth home, as do other refugees. American and Japanese
diplomats are often sought first in UARC negotiations. Although the IAF has become
a constant reminder of the hatred man is capable of, people still admire earth.
Several times the human species has faced near extinction, only to rise atop adversity
and become still stronger.
Earth has a highly advanced and respected defense system. Due mainly to the new United Alien
Race Council base of operations now located in Kyoto, Japan. The system consists of 20 Jupitor class battleships, at least 14 Mars class destoyers, 8 Orion class cruisers as well as a large fleet of fighters stationed on Gaio.

Gaio is an artificial satellite designed to function as both a weather
monitor and environmental conditioner, as well as a military base. Gaio also has 200 large single
section charged particle beam cannon which are designed to fire rapidly for short bursts. Gaio houses the Japanese Gaio Fighter Fleet (GFF) which consists of 200 of the most skilled fighter
pilots from all races, flying the Japanese Hayai class fighter. The pilots are always on ready alert.
